Walter Bear
Walter was awarded a B.S. in Archaeology from DePauw University and for some time thought that he would end up begging for scraps as he spent his career digging up bones. Ultimately, he uncovered his true passion and decided to pursue the law with dogged determination. In the winter of 2009, he earned his J.D. (Jowls Dogtor) and began to work full time for Point Loma Law.
Walter’s duties require him to work with each attorney in the firm on a daily basis and as such, he eschews a desk and spends much of his day loping from office to office. Walter’s responsibilities include client relations, intake interviews, marketing, and playing fetch; although his real passion is pro bono work, where Point Loma Law lets him off his leash so he can hound opposing counsel.
Walter spends much of his free time in Mission Beach wrestling with his neighbors Roxy and Sophie and eating entirely too much barbeque.
Walter Bear is a black Labrador Retriever and Shar Pei mix and often goes by the name “Wally” or “Dog Bear”.
